Job Title: Engraving Machine Operator
Reports To: Machining Operations Lead

Summary:
 
Under direction of supervisor, performs and manages a variety of production activities related to brass hot stamping cylinders, relevant to the machining cell and general facility.  Contributes to the Site goals and objectives. A strong attention to detail in all functions of the position.
 
Core Responsibilities:
  1. Use of Lang CNC machines and overhead Cranes.
  2. Prior all around machining experience helpful
  3. Edit Illustrator art files
  4. Program jobs in LErgo software
  5. Set up jobs on Lang machines
  6. General maintenance on machines
  7. Make cutter tools when needed
  8. Proficiency in math and Microsoft Office
Competencies:
  1. Team Player working continually with all site employees. Willingness to take on assigned tasks.
  2. Keep engraving area clean and meeting 5S standards
  3. Clear and pack cylinders
  4. Assist is shop when needed
  5. Comply with site safety and environmental compliance programs
  6. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  7. Variety of measuring instruments to check and conform that dimensions and tolerances are met.
  8. Measure in both inches and metric
  9. Willing to work overtime as needed.
 
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
  • Lift up to 65 lbs. Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
  • Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions
  • Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
  • Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Forklift and Crane trained and certified
