Summary: Perform any polypropylene or polyester film coating machine setups and operations to apply adhesive, release and/or cover coatings to hot stamped and holographic polypropylene film; material handling and finished product delivery to holding area(s).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
JOB RATING SPECIFICATIONS
Knowledge: Use of elementary geometry, algebra and trigonometric principles together with the use of complicated drawings, specifications, charts, tables; various types of precision measuring instruments, NC equipment and personal computer to input data. Equivalent to 1 to 3 years of applied training in a particular or specialized occupation.
Experience: Over 2 and up to 3 years.
Initiative and Ingenuity: Use of judgment to plan, perform and make decisions as to the sequence of coating machine(s) set-ups and adjustments, operations, processes, including minor modifications or adjustments to work routines, computerized controllers within the limits of recognized or standard methods or procedures.
Physical Demand: Moderate physical demand in setting up, loading and operating machines and other equipment. Required to be lifting or moving average weight material much of the time.
Fork Truck: Required operational and safety training, pass a multiple choice test and a field test on a fork truck. Use of fork truck is frequent throughout the shift.
Mental Attention or Visual Demand: Continuous mental and visual attention in operating machines and other equipment and performing other activities requiring constant alertness or activity.
Responsibility for Equipment and Process: Probable damage to machines, controllers seldom over $2250.00
Responsibility for the Material, Product or Service Quality: Probable loss due to improper (un) loading, handling and processing of product and similar activities seldom over $2250.00.
Responsibility for Safety of Others: Only reasonable care in performing own work is necessary to prevent injury to others. An accident, should it occur, would result in minor injuries such as cuts, abrasions, burns and bruises.
Responsibility for the work of others: Responsible for own work or occasionally one other person.
Working Conditions: Somewhat disagreeable working conditions. Exposed to noise, heat and other shop elements with at least one present to the extent of being objectionable.
Hazards: Injuries should they occur would result in a lost time injury.
Precautions, department and company policies, procedures, rules and regulations. Detect and report improper operations, faulty equipment, detective materials and unusual conditions. Maintain work areas and equipment in a clean, orderly, operational and safe condition.
Perform other related duties as required or as directed.
